Kloiber’s Cobbler is a cute cafe in the historic downtown area of Titusville. The menu offers sandwiches, salads, soups, quiches, and, of course, cobblers!
The restaurant is housed in a building constructed in the 1890’s and has a lovely atmosphere. Deep into the dining area the space is open to the second story, where an impressive skylight is on view. The staircase, kitchen cabinets and wood paneling date from the building’s original use as a department store.
I first visited Kloiber’s during the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival — the restaurant offered a discount coupon in the festival welcome pacakge. My most recent visit, a lunch pit stop between a rocket launch and a birdwatching outing, was my third.
My companion and I both ordered the Spinach Quiche ($7.95) with side salad.
The slice of quiche was very tasty, not too salty. The side salad was especially nice, with a mix of greens and home-made croutons. Yummers.
For dessert we had cobbler (natch) — blackberry for me, strawberry-rhubarb for my companion.
Oh, the cobbler was good! A warm fruit compote is served with a biscuit and served with ice cream. Super tasty. The cobbler offering changes with the seasons.
The service was fine and friendly.
